Частота внезапной сердечной смерти (ВСС) остается по-прежнему высокой, ежегодно в мире погибает около 3 млн человек. В течение последних 30 лет появилась возможность профилактики ВСС с помощью имплантируемых кардиовертеров-дефибрилляторов (ИКД). За это время проведено много крупных клинических исследований, доказавших улучшение выживаемости с помощью ИКД. Последняя редакция «Рекомендаций по лечению пациентов с желудочковыми нарушениями ритма и профилактике внезапной сердечной смерти» была представлена Европейским обществом кардиологов в 2015 г. Однако на сегодняшний день остается много нерешенных проблем, связанных прежде всего с определением показаний к имплантации ИКД. Настоящий обзор анализирует имеющуюся доказательную базу и освещает современный этап применения ИКД в клинической практике.
