Abstract
The authors quote data of comparative analysis of influence of propanidid, liexcnal, sodium oxybutyrate, nitrous oxide, dicthyl aether, fluothanc and penthrane on the monosynamptie transmission in man. On the strenght of these data they analyse the mechanisms of anaesthesia, the significance of realization of narcotic effects at the spinal cord level and the problem of selective action of anaesthetics. It is established that with fluothane, sodium oxybutyrate and penthrane anaesthesia monosynaptic transmission is dcprssed in the initial stages of anaesthesia. llexcnal and propandidid at first activate monosynaptic transmission and later on do not affect it to any significant extent.
