LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF AN UNFAVORABLE TREATMENT OUTCOME
The number of lawsuits against healthcare providers is increasing steadily every year . The lack of liability insurance for healthcare providers by the state, as a rule, leaves the doctor alone with agencies of immediate investigation and courts; at that, the doctor is almost completely unaware of all twists and turns of the legal procedure. Incoming requests for assistance, in particular, to the Federation of Anesthesiologists and Intensive Care Specialists, as a rule, are belated. The article dwells on the algorithm of provider's action in the case of possible legal consequences of an unfavorable treatment outcome.
