Abstract

Dieulafoy's disease is a relatively rare cause of acute massive bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract, contributing to the high mortality in this pathology. Even the widespread introduction of modern endoscopic techniques do not always guarantee success in diagnostics of this pathology, which is associated with active bleeding or the absence of obvious source of blood loss. Thus, detection of Dieulafoy's ulcers as a source of massive gastrointestinal bleeding today is rather difficult and it often leads to serious diagnostic and treatment errors. This article describes a clinical case of observation of the given pathology in a 3 years old patient after cardiac treatment.
