Waste as integrated ecologo-hygienic criteria of the comprehensive impact on the environment and population health

Abstract

The growth of chemical contamination of various environmental objects is a problem of struggle against waste production, consumption and way of life. The mechanisms of the spread of wastes in various media (air, water, soil) - are identical: chemical pollution, subjecting to the thermodynamic law eliminate out of it due to its volatility, difjusivity or sedimentation. Every year in the territory of Russia industrial enterprises and power engineering units, transport and others emit into atmosphere more than 32 million tons of various pollutants, dropping more than 15.5 billion m of waste water; over the past 5 years the amount of waste has increasedfrom 3.8 billion to 5 billion tons. Lead, mercury, cadmium, nickel, copper, hydrocarbons of the production offerrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, mining of solid and liquid fuel, mining processing complexes, vehicles have the greatest value on the impacts on the environment and the human body. Various routes of spreading of different types ofpollution to the environment are important etiological factors of complex adverse impacts on the human body, the state and self-purification processes of the natural environment. Unfavorable state of the environment and unhealthy lifestyles are the most important pathogenetic factors of infectious and non-infectious human pathology.
