Adaptive processes of the organism and the dynamics of risk for morbidity in complex exposure of environmental factors on the population

Abstract

There was investigated the character of the of adaptation processes in children’s population living in the conditions of complex exposure of local environmental factors and lifestyle in the territory of industrial cities, and non-industrial and background areas of the Irkutsk region. The aim of the study was the identification of the possible periodicity of of their appearance in the formation of risk for morbidity in children to different levels of exposure. It was established that under conditions of prolonged exposure to local environmental factors and lifestyle of industrial cities, and nonindustrial background areas in children under 14 years there are observed long term cyclic (wavelike) changes of adaptation processes in the body in the form of repeated cycles in which the phase of the low resistance is replaced by the phase of the elevated non-specific resistance and vice versa. Duration ofperiods ofphase change depends on the level of exposure. There is considered the question of the determination of parameters of waviness of the annual dynamics of the risk of child morbidity for the characterization and evaluation of the adaptation process, detection mass “non-infectious” diseases and prediction of the their expected trends. Wavelike changes of the dynamics of the relative risks of total morbidity are recommended to be taken into account in the determination the mass " non-infectious" diseases of separate classes and arrival management decisions arrival for the reduction and prevention of their occurrence.
