THE INFLUENCE OF SPELEOTHERAPY ON THE INDICATORS OF THE CYTOKINE BALANCE IN CHILDREN WITH ATOPIC BRONCHIAL ASTHMA
A course of speleotherapy has been conducted for 23 children and adolescents with atopic bronchial asthma at the premises of the «Duzdag Magara» Physiotherapy Center. The course of treatment consisted of 15 speleoprocedures daily. Speleotherapy was carried out in the post-attack period according to the scheme: adaptation regimen - basic regimen - readaptation regimen. The study of level of IL-5, IL-13 and IFNγ cytokines was conducted in dynamics before and after the course of speleotherapy. The study of the cytokine profile of blood serum in bronchial asthma patients in the dynamics of various treatment options allowed revealing significant changes in the levels of Th1 and Th2-like cytokines that regulate both cellular and humoral immunity. At the same time, these changes were more significant in the group of patients receiving speleotherapy. Our study has also shown a regular positive effect of speleotherapy on cytokine performance in children with mild and moderate atopic bronchial asthma.
