NEUROPEPTIDE REGULATION OF IMMUNITY
DOI:
Abstract
In this review, modern ideas about the neuropeptide regulation of the functions of the immune system in maintaining dynamic homeostasis are argued. Discovered on immunocompetent cells receptors to many known neuropeptides prove their participation in the realization of the efferent link of the neuroimmune interaction. Along with the considerable volume presented in this review of research works on this topic, the question of the specific effect of individual groups of neuropeptides on the immune system remains insufficiently studied; thereby making further research in this direction is actual and significant.
