"Anesthesiology and Reanimatology" is a clinical journal. Its principal task is
to describe pressing problems of anesthesiology and resuscitation which are directly
connected with present day problems of the Russian public health. Much attention is paid
to problems of general anesthesiology in surgery, intensive care and resuscitation.
Considerable space in the journal is given to progressive methods used in anesthesiology
and reanimatology in obstetrics, gynaecology and pediatrics (including perinatology); in
dentistry, otolaryngology, surgery in the outpatient practice, etc.
The problems of intensive care and resuscitation not connected with surgery -
in traumas, poisonings, infectious diseases - are regularly described in the
journal.
A special section in the journal devoted to rare or instructive
practical observations, errors and complications with their analysis and comments made by
the leading Russian specialists is intended for practicing anesthesiologists and
reanimatologists.
Reviews and lectures on pressing problems of anesthesiology and
reanimatology, discussion papers are published in the journal; the readers are acquainted
with the methods and practice of general anesthesia, intensive treatment and
resuscitation.
