DIAGNOSTICS
V. V. Shchetinin and N. F. Beresten This monograph presents a new trend in ultrasonic diagnosis:
cardiocompatible dopplerography. The problem of evaluation of blood flow in the vessels is
for the first time regarded in correlation with the variant of central hemodynamics.
Venous portocaval circulation and arterial flow to the liver are regarded from this
viewpoint. New technologies of dopplerosonography helped better evaluate the variants of
collateral circulation in heart failure and diffuse involvement of the liver with portal
hypertension. New diagnostic dopplerosonography indexes are suggested as prognostic
predictors of liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and heart failure. Cardiocompatible
dopplerosonography is a valuable method for dynamic assessment of the status of
transplanted liver and other organs.
