The book deals with pressing problems in modern dermatocosmetology. Structure and functions of the skin, mechanisms of its aging, main active mechanisms of cosmetic agents and drugs for external application are presented in a clear available form. Based on published reports and their own experience, the authors sum up, classify, and present such methods of dermatocosmetology as cryo-, electro-, and laser treatment, chemical peeling, contour shaping, use of botulinus toxin A, etc. Special attention is paid to acne, rosacea, cicatrices, and tumors of the skin, as diseases most prevalent in dermatocosmetologist's practice.
