The journal discusses principal issues of
clinical medicine, dealing mainly with matters of diagnosis, pathogenesis, prophylaxis,
treatment and clinical course of different diseases. It also publishes original articles
on development of Russian and foreign medicine. A special section is devoted to guidelines
for practitioners, pressing problems of social hygiene as well as philosophical and
ethical questions in medicine are highlighted. Reviews on published monographs, manuals,
textbooks and information on the proceedings of conferences and congresses of scientific
societies, history of medicine, postgraduate medical training are provided.
The periodical is intended for clinicians, surgeons, neuropathologists,
roentgenologists, phtisiologists, students of medical schools etc.
