The journal is
addressed to practicing physicians of all specialities and is the central national medical
journal primarily dealing with practical problems in the diagnosis and treatment of the
major nosological entities, as well as pressing problems of social hygiene and public
health organization. The reader will find here papers devoted to exchange of experience,
reviews of modern publications, lectures, and original papers of a priority type deserving
to be published in the National Russian Journal. The journal offers data on the most
important present-day practical and theoretical bases of medical science in this country
and abroad. Special attention is given to scientific and social life of medical people and
current events in medicine, etc.
The journal represents a practical handbook for everyday professional
activity of a physician.
