MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (2002)
Poletaev A.B., Morozov S.G., Kovalev I.E. The authors offer insights into different-level integration
of the living systems and likely mechanisms of its realization; analyze expected
principles and some mechanisms underlying functional contingency of the nervous, immune
and endocrine systems forming an integral regulatory metasystem as the leading component
of regulation and adaptation of homeostasis of the higher organisms in health and disease;
discuss an essential role of regulatory authoantibodies; provide grounds for the
conception on the functional system of immunochemical homeostasis basing on the interlink
between the P-450 cytochrome enzyme system and the immunity system. The functional system
of immunochemical homeostasis is considered as illustration (and a general principle) of
association of molecular and systemic level of homeostatic organization within a
multicellular organism.
