bases of complex rehabilitation of children and adolescents with arterial
hypertension and hypotension. They expound current methods of drug and
traditional (phyto- and aromatherapy) rehabilitative treatment,
physiotherapy, hydrotherapeutic procedures, psychotherapy,
sanatorium-and-spa treatment, etc. The book gives a brief account of the
present views of the etiopathogenesis of arterial hypertension and
hypotension, knowledge of which makes and adequate selection of individual
complex rehabilitative measures easy.

The monograph presents the
pathophysiology of pain and pain syndrome, their principal causes and
clinical manifestations in relation to age, and the classification of pain.
It describes pain syndromes in blood diseases (hemophilia, leukemia) and
metabolic disturbances. Indications for the use of narcotic and non-narcotic
agents are shown in acute and chronic pain syndromes. The authors also
define how correctly to choose therapy with individual drugs and how long to
perform it. Treatment policy is also outlined. There is evidence for the
application of the uniform approach to treating acute and chronic pains,
which provides for a differential prescription of analgesics depending on
the intensity of the syndrome.
