The journal deals with problems of
epidemiology and organization of tuberculosis control and its prophylaxis, clinic and
treatment. It acquaints the reader with new methods and means of diagnosis and treatment
of tuberculosis.
In addition to pulmonary much room is given to nontuberculous diseases of the
respiratory organs.
The journal publishes data on the newest theoretical and practical
achievements in phthisiology and pulmonology. The journal publishes guidelines and
recommendations, reviews of the published monographs, manuals and text-books on the
problems of tuberculosis and allied diseases and reports on congresses, conferences,
devoted to tuberculosis in Russia and foreign countries.
The journal is intended for phthisiologists, therapeutists, surgeons and
other specialists working in research establishments, and for physicians.
