The book describes the history
of and X-ray data on the Osgood—Schlatter disease and considers the
development of tuberosity of the tibia in X-ray images and its age-related
features. Some details of the anatomy of the patellar ligament are depicted.
Detailed description of the differential diagnosis of the disease and
indications for medical and surgical treatments are first given. The
etiology and pathogenesis of the Osgood—Schlatter disease are substantiated
on the basis of morphological studies.

The book presents the mechanism
of tissue injuries and pathomorphology in gunshot extremity wounds. The
problems of their diagnosis and analgesia are covered. Methods for primary
and secondary debrediment of wounds are described in detail. Particular

The book a summarized
experience on a complex of conventional and surgical treatment with the
method of transosseous osteosynthesis. A detailed problem oriented analysis
is given on the evolution of the etiology and pathogenesis of the condition.
New low traumatic surgical osteosynthesis techniques for stimulating
reparative processes in the femoral head and hip joint decompression are
shown including the management of osteochondropathy sequelae. Special
chapters of the book describe the innovatory diagnosis techniques for
osteochondropathy examination with the aids of CT, photon absorbptiometry
and biochemical study.

The monograph describes the
studies that are first to reveal the necessity of applying an external
fixation apparatus to the effective correction of spinal deformities. A
procedure has been first developed for regulating the deflected mode of the
details of the apparatus by a finely acoustic surveillance, which provides a
safe controlled change from one attitude position to another and enhances
the degree of correction of cpinal deformities as compared to the effect of
use of internal fixation devices.
