The journal reports on the advances of
Russian and foreign medicine in the domain of urology and nephrology, propagates the
advanced experience of the workers of scientific and medico-prophylactic establish-ments
in the study of the etiology, pathogenesis, new diagnosis methods, prevention and
treatment of diseases involving the kidneys, organs of the urogenital systems,
inflammatory processes of diverse etiology, urolithiasis, anomalies, tumours, nephrogenous
hypertensive disease, renal insufficiency, restorative surgery, kidney transplantation,
pediatric urology and sexopathology.
In addition to this each issue of the journal publishes reviews of literature
on pressing problems of urology and nephrology, as well as proceedings of scientific
congresses and conferences in Russia and abroad, reviews of the new most significant
Russian and foreign books. Much room is given to the problems of the history of urology.
The journal publishes systematically lists of new books on urology and nephrology.
The journal is intended for urologists, nephrologists, surgeons,
obstetricians-gynaecologists, pediatricians, etc.
