The
journal publishes original scientific papers and review articles on the most important
problems of medical science and public health practice. Broad coverage is given of the
activity of the Academy, its Presidium, Bureaus of Departments, scientific institutes,
laboratories, the work of scientific sessions, congresses and conferences. The journal
publishes papers on organization, planning and coordination of scientific research in the
field of medicine. The section "International Scientific Life" deals with
scientific reports of Russian delegations at conferences, held both in the Russian
Federation and abroad tells about the activities of research institutions in foreign
countries, of the World Health Organization, etc.
The journal is intended for medical scientific workers at large,
practitioners interested in achievements of Russian and foreign medical science.
